Who are we

Founded in 1964 , our company, specializing in the manufacture of pastry products, is located in Gémenos in the Aix-en-Provence region.

The company La Cigale Dorée under its brand La Cigale creates and manufactures pastry specialties intended for pastry laboratories of supermarkets and RHF, wholesale distributors and industry.

Thanks to our industrial tool and our know-how, we develop products according to the specifications of our customers.

We invest every year in our production tool in order to combine performance with French pastry traditions. Our factory has 6 production lines and, for example, manufactures 15,000 savarins per hour .

There are more than 20 people who, with professionalism, flexibility, speed and efficiency, play a crucial role in customer satisfaction and the development of their work tool.

This is why La Cigale is committed to a process of supporting its staff in order to train and develop their skills , integrate the youngest with, for example, the welcome apprentices and continue to ensure equality of women and men in the company, that we have already achieved, both in their representation, the quality of the positions held and in the wages.


Our customer focus

As part of market developments and monitoring current and future trends, our R & amp; D manager, passionate about pastry, is developing ever more innovative and more “clean” recipes . Together with the industrialization department, the teams use their know-how to combine tradition and innovation in each cookie recipe offered.

This creativity is also available to our customers to support them in their product request. Very responsive, we know how to offer “ made to measure ” cookies to meet the evolving expectations of our customers.


In terms of the environment

Our environmental approach continues internally through several projects: waste management and reduction, packaging optimization, reduction of our energy consumption, etc.


Sustainable development,

In a responsible development approach, we promote the geographical proximity of our suppliers and make our partnerships long-term. We limit food waste : our manufacturing waste is recycled to animal feed and manufacturing defects are returned to the food bank.


Quality and food safety

Because we want to guarantee the quality of our products and because we are committed to a process of continuous improvement, our manufacturing site in Gemenos has been certified IFS Food since March 2020. Our site and our manufacturing processes are regularly checked by external audits.
